My Priorities
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
I will cut government red tape to support job creators. By prioritizing public safety, we encourage new businesses to come to our City to establish solid and thriving businesses, which will create a new revenue source for the City in the form of sales tax.
I will work side by side with our city manager, finance director, city council members and Westminster residents to dive deeply into where we can cut and get additional funds from the state or federal level. Finally, I will lobby Sacramento and Washington DC elected officials to help address our fiscal operations issues.
PUBLIC SAFETY
My number one priority is the safety of our residents, businesses and community. To accomplish that, I will be tough on crime and support our police department.
I will regularly meet with our Chief of Police and rank-and-file police officers to develop strategies to reduce and prevent crime.
Our officers serve our City with dedication. I strongly support providing them with the resources they need on the job, and with the collaboration of the WPDPOA, we will develop a plan for the best pay and benefits for quality of life and officer retention. I will deFEND the Police, not defund.
HOMELESSNESS
I will task non-police personnel to identify all our homeless individuals in Westminster and determine the best way to help them get off the streets by utilizing local mental health professionals, churches, and other community-based organizations.
VOLUNTEERS
As mayor, I will initiate a city volunteer program with the Westminster police department, The Mayor’s Office Crisis Response Team.
Volunteers will be trained on crisis management for our community residents when they experience a traumatic or emotional crisis such as a murder, fatal traffic collisions or other severe crimes.
